Louise F. Hallett, 84, Crawfordsville died 8:40 a.m. Tuesday in St. Clare Medical Center. Mrs. Hallett was a homemaker. Her memberships included Alamo Christian Church, past director and member of Sunshine Chorus, Farm Bureau Women's leader; Alamo and Yountsville Laides Aid, 50-year member and past matron of Alamo Order of Eastern Star, 50 year member of Home Ec Club, American Legion Auxiliar. Moose Ladies Auxiliary and Cabalistic Club. She attended Yountsville schools.

She was born Jan 7, 1918 at Crawfordsille to Neal E. and Pearl Mae Jewell Leonard. She married Harry Edward Thompson. He is deceased, then she married Oral J. Hallett. He is deceased. Survivors include four daughters, Dorothy Weir, Parkersburg, Lora Nichols and Ruth Ann Hallett, both of Crawfordsville and Connie Rutledge, Waynetown; two brothers, Harry Leonard, Kingman and Carl Leonard, Crawfordsville; a sister, Mary Switzer, Crawfordsille; 10 grandchikldren; 20 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

A brother, Lloyd Leonard, a sister, Lillian Keller and a great grandson are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. Sturday in Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 S. Indiana 25 Waynetown with Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with Alamo OES services at 8 pm.
